Our Services
Keeping the business finances under control is very important these days, but you are still obliged to provide training to a standard, laid down by legislation and inspected by the Care Quality Commission.
ELGee will provide training, price quotation on application. Most courses will be a minimum of 3 hours and the maximum number of students should be no more than 15. In addition, ELGee Training will add any expenses incurred as a result of delivering the training. Handouts and other printed material are included in the price.
All mandatory courses conform to the Skills for Care “Care Certificate”.

Moving & Handling Course
A three hour session covering the theory and practice of moving & handling of people. A fun session with a serious side. All students get a chance to practice all aspects of moving /transferring people with practical hints and tips.
Abuse Awareness
Concentrating more on how to safeguard vulnerable adults. With the aid of video and real life scenarios, students are more able to recognise when abuse is going on, and how to report it.
Mental Capacity Act (Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards)
A three or four hour course covering how the act can legally be used in a care setting. With memory aids and scenario practice sessions that makes certain that students understand and make them more confident about the act.

We also have a series of different new film clips to incorporate into these courses which has the effect of making them interesting even if you have completed the same training before.

Graham Cranmer MCMI
Managing Director
Graham first came into the care sector in 1994 as a volunteer, and has never looked back. After graduating from DeMontfort University in 2003 with a distinction in Managing Health and Social Care, he has managed Care Homes for learning disabled adults, EMI homes and Domiciliary Care offices in Hampshire and East Sussex.
Graham is experienced at delivering training at all levels and has recently gained qualifications verifying his ability to teach effectively. Graham has over 25 years of training experience.
Graham started working as a part time freelance trainer in July 2008, and has recently retired from front line management in order to concentrate on running ELGee Training.
